About the Opportunity… This is a stand-alone role responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll. The position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll, and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments. What you’ll be doing… Manage end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. Verify contractor records, ensuring correct setups and data accuracy. Oversee timesheet approvals, ensuring all required information and compliance documents, are obtained. Validate payroll reports, ensuring payments align with relevant awards and agreements. Resolve payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner. Assist with generating and issuing invoices, following up on outstanding payments. Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and awards to ensure compliance. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements, supporting audits and risk management processes. What you need… A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (payroll certification is highly desirable). Demonstrated experience in payroll processing ideally within manufacturing, blue collar or related environment Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, agreements, and superannuation. Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with Astute Payroll highly desired). High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
