About the Role This is a vital support position within the medical devices industry. As a Loan Kit Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, dispatch, and replenishment of surgical loan kits and consignment stock. Your role ensures surgical teams have the right tools, at the right time, in perfect condition. From picking and packing to post-surgery returns, inspections, and restocking, you’ll be instrumental in keeping things running smoothly. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to operate under pressure. What You’ll Be Doing Pick, pack and dispatch surgical loan kits based on case bookings Inspect and clean returned instruments, ensuring full functionality Replenish kits and manage consignment stock Perform ERP transactions (SAP/MyMediset) and maintain inventory accuracy Participate in stocktakes and on-call rotations Liaise with internal teams and external customers, suppliers, and couriers Maintain clean, efficient, and compliant workspaces What You’ll Need to Succeed Experience in a loan kit/medical device logistics environment (2+ years preferred) Knowledge of inventory systems and medical loan kit processes Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and time management Familiarity with SAP/MyMediset and Lean/5S practices (nice to have not essential) Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work, including stocktakes and on-call weekends The Impact You’ll Make You may not be in the theatre, but your work directly contributes to positive patient outcomes.
