The Clinic 

This non corporate Cardiovascular Specialist Centre has been operating for more than two decades. This is a highly respected practice.  The clinic provides exceptional cardiovascular care to patients. A vacancy has become available for a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join the team in Perth. The facility is equipped with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment, and we utilise iCloud reporting for efficient and accurate diagnostics.

Position: Permanent Cardiac Sonographer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality trans-thoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and contrast echocardiography for both inpatients and outpatients using 2D, M-mode, and Doppler techniques.
  • Assist in transoesophageal echo cardiograms
  • Write detailed and precise reports for cardiologists to support accurate medical decision-making.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients about procedures, provide clear instructions, and answer any questions to minimise anxiety and improve cooperation.
  • Uphold legal standards and facility guidelines by obtaining written consent and securing patient information.
  • Collaborate with other sonographers and health care professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in on-call rosters and take on weekend shifts as needed on an average 1 in 6 weeks.
  • Engage in research and development projects
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality care and diagnostic testing independently.
  • ASAR accredited
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Provide hospital support
