The staff includes full and part-time cardiologists and more than 4 cardiac echosonographers and technical staff. There is opportunity for a cardiac sonographer to work with doctors from major teaching hospitals that work in this clinic, with several nationally recognised in their chosen field.

Job Description: As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a vital role in  performing echo cardiograms and stress echo cardiograms.   Your expertise will help the cardiologists make informed decisions about patient care, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echo cardiograms, including trans thoracic, trans-esophageal, and stress echocardiography.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Analyse and interpret diagnostic data, providing accurate preliminary reports to cardiologists.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with the health care team to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiac sonography and incorporate new techniques as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • ASAR accredited 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac sonography.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Undergraduate Health Science Degree.
  • CPR certificate (desirable).
