The team is committed to excellence in cardiology.  Owing to maternity leave, there is a vacancy for a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join the team on Tuesday,  Friday and Saturdays.

Job Description:

As a Cardiac Sonographer in the Peninsula of Victoria, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, assisted TOES and stress echo and produce prelinary reports.   You will work closely with our team of cardiologists to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Analyse and interpret diagnostic data, providing accurate preliminary reports to cardiologists.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with the health care team to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiac sonography 
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • ASAR Accredited 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiac sonography.
  • Proficiency in performing a variety of echocardiographic procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
