About the Opportunity:
As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing sophisticated demand planning processes, collaborating with cross functional team such as Sales, Marketing, and Purchasing. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is essential for optimising stock levels, ensuring effective forecasting, and contributing to the overall success of our client's business.
This is a hybrid role in Sydney with opportunities to work from home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide expert guidance on the utilisation of a sophisticated demand planning platform, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with training staff to introduce and educate teams on advanced demand planning processes.
• Develop robust forecast models by analysing industry trends, demand patterns, and historical data.
• Support management by conducting comprehensive risk assessments and proposing mitigation activities to enhance forecasting accuracy.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to continually improve demand forecast accuracy, staying ahead of industry changes
• Effectively communicate detailed forecast and inventory estimations to key stakeholders within the organisation.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Conduct thorough monthly forecast maintenance, incorporating the latest market intelligence and adjusting strategies accordingly.
• Address demand-related issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring proactive solutions are implemented to maintain seamless operations.
Skills and Experience:
• Experience working in a Demand Planning role across Healthcare or FMCG
• Experience with advanced planning tools such as GAINS/SAP
• Intermediate – advanced excel skills
• Strong numeracy skills, enabling accurate analysis and interpretation of complex data sets.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong customer service, understanding its significance in the overall supply chain process.
• A team player, actively contributing to collaborative efforts and fostering a positive working environment.
