About the opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling import and export freight activities in the ANZ region. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely shipments, compliance with trade policies, and drive cost and service improvements. This role is crucial to the success of the business, impacting the overall supply chain and contributing to the company's mission of saving and sustaining lives.
Duties
• Support shipping requirements, bookings, and rates.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, suppliers, and transport services for timely shipments.
• Manage freight relationships with regional and local teams.
• Assist internal stakeholders on shipments and customer delivery requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline logistics processes.
• Coordinate documentation for customs clearance and government requirements.
• Measure, monitor, and report on freight performance.
•Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and billing processes.
Skills & Experience
• Experience with freight forwarders & international trade
• Experience in Healthcare preferred
• Knowledge of import and export procedures for healthcare products
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with JDE
• Advanced Excel skills
