Located in a stunning coastal region of Tasmania and within driving distance to a major airport, this single level hospital provides a range of services to include obstetrics, medical, surgical and mental health services.
The hospital has increased its hospital beds over the last 3 years and have further plans to add on more beds to cater to the demands and needs of the community.
This is a well run hospital with staff that have been in the hospital for many years.
The hospital is conveniently located close to the public hospital, medical centre and a university.
Hospital is expanding, already have increased bed numbers and in the process of adding more hospital beds.

The clinic has two NUMS.
Position
- Provide support to public and private billing patients
- Expect around 1,000 births a year
- Work in antenatal/postnatal inpatient area, SCN and birthing suite
- The clinic will provide ongoing training and development if required, allowing you to have the nessary skills to support all areas within the maternity ward.
- Be a good all rounder with excellent bed side manner
- Works closely with the team/patients and families with the planning of patient care
- Ensure proper patient hand-over
- Participate in weekly meetings to promote safe work environment
Requirements
- Unconditional AHPRA Registration
- Registered as a mid wife
- Flexible
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Able to commit to a minimum 6 month term
- Preference is to hire permanent, to allow patients to have continuity of care.
