About the Opportunity…
This is a stand-alone role responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll. The position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll, and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments.

What you’ll be doing…

• Manage end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
• Verify contractor records, ensuring correct setups and data accuracy.
• Oversee timesheet approvals, ensuring all required information and compliance documents, are obtained.
• Validate payroll reports, ensuring payments align with relevant awards and agreements.
• Resolve payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with generating and issuing invoices, following up on outstanding payments.
• Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and awards to ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements, supporting audits and risk management processes.

What you need…

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (payroll certification is highly desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing ideally within manufacturing, blue collar or related environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, agreements, and superannuation.
• Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with Astute Payroll highly desired).
• High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
