About the Opportunity…
This is a stand-alone role responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll. The position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll, and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments.
What you’ll be doing…
- Manage end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
- Verify contractor records, ensuring correct setups and data accuracy.
- Oversee timesheet approvals, ensuring all required information and compliance documents, are obtained.
- Validate payroll reports, ensuring payments align with relevant awards and agreements.
- Resolve payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with generating and issuing invoices, following up on outstanding payments.
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and awards to ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements, supporting audits and risk management processes.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (payroll certification is highly desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing ideally within manufacturing, blue collar or related environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, agreements, and superannuation.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with Astute Payroll highly desired).
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
