With clinics across Australia, this  leading global organisation is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team. The practice has over 20 years of innovation and clinical research expertise.  The practice provides individualised mental health care tailored to the unique needs and goals of each patient.


Position Overview:

The clinic is seeking a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team in delivering highly personalised mental health care. This role involves working collaboratively with other clinicians, utilising advanced technologies, and providing evidence-based treatments designed around the individual needs of patients.
As part of our dynamic and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible environment, receive peer review support, and contribute to the clinics mission in improving mental health outcomes through cutting-edge therapies and research.

This role also offers the ability to bill under the area of need scheme.

Typical mental health conditions to treat for this facility include CAHMS, ADHD, Anxiety, Peak Performance, Insomnia, Sleep disorders, OCD, Stress, Burn Out, Depression and other general adult psychiatry. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, considering both mental and physical health, to create tailored treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Design and implement customised treatment programs based on personalised assessments, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with psychologists, neuroscientists, and other clinicians to provide holistic, integrated care.
  • Utilise Advanced Technology: Employ the Practice's cutting-edge devices and evidence-based methods to deliver the most effective and innovative treatments.
  • Peer Collaboration and Review: Participate in regular peer review sessions from across the globe, sharing insights and best practices.
  • Long-Term Patient Focus: Provide care that aims at sustainable, long-term improvements rather than temporary fixes.
  • Collaboration with Primary Care Providers: Engage with patients' existing care teams, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive treatment approaches.
  • Research and Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest innovations in psychiatry and mental health care, contributing to ongoing improvements in treatment methodologies.
Requirements  

  • Unconditional Specialist AHPRA Registration  
  • Medical degree and specialist qualification in psychiatry, recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current registration as a psychiatrist in Australia.
  • Strong understanding of both pharmacological and non-pharmacological psychiatric treatments.
  • A patient-centred approach with a focus on personalised, evidence-based care.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with other health professionals.
  • Interest in research, innovation, and the application of advanced technologies in mental health care.
  • Ability to work under the area of need scheme (preferred but not essential).
