The Vacancy  

Owing to demand for mental health services and an impressive efficient referral network, an experienced psychiatrists vacancy has become available  to join a supportive and dynamic team. The type of mental health conditions that are treated at the practice is predominantly for General Mental Health and ADHD.  The clinic is described by patients as a practice that offers genuine compassionate care.  The clinic provides a patient-centric approach, ensuring that individuals across Australia receive timely and high-quality care.


Position Overview:

• Conduct comprehensive General Mental Health assessments, which include pre-assessment forms, a 45-60 minute Telehealth consultation, and the development of a tailored management plan.
• ADHD assessments for patients with an existing diagnosis, focusing on medication management in collaboration with GPs.
• Provide detailed reports and delegation letters to GPs for prescription and management follow-up.
• Act as a trusted consultant, ensuring patients have a clear understanding of their diagnosis and management plan.

Requirements:

• Fellowship with RANZCP (or equivalent).
• Ability to bill under Medicare item code 291.
• Comfortable working in a Telehealth environment.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
