- Ideal is 37.5 hour work week, facility will consider part time for the cover.

This hospital facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Sonographer to join a supportive, helpful team. The doctors have a strong interest in research and teaching. The vascular sonographer will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to the patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a renowned medical institution with state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound studies independently, including but not limited to carotid, arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular studies.
- Utilise advanced imaging techniques and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Interpret ultrasound images, identify abnormalities, and communicate findings in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the development of protocols and procedures to optimise imaging services.
- Stay updated with advancements in vascular ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
- Provide exceptional patient care and demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or equivalent accreditation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with health care professionals and patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
