About the opportunity
The QC Analyst is responsible for completing scheduled routine analytical tasks efficiently and safely in accordance with approved test procedures, standard operating procedures and the code of Good Manufacturing Practice.

Duties
  • Standard lab-based role, performing quality control testing in the biochemistry lab
  • Ensure sample details are accurate and logged in appropriately; following up with customers where necessary
  • Ensure that all records are completed, signed of and entered onto LIMS in accordance with approved procedures, including records for standards and controls
  • Complete all documentation according to GDP approved procedures and processes
  • Filed and archived department records in accordance with approved procedures
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and calibrated in accordance with approved procedures and perform troubleshooting in the case of equipment malfunction
  • Assist with the preparation, review and update and of SOP’s, controlled documentation and test procedures
  • Participate in investigation of out of specification and Invalid results as required
  • Assists with problem analysis and resolution in a timely fashion. Escalates issues when needed to appropriate levels within QC
  • Responsible for general housekeeping

Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharma ideally
  • Laboratory experience: manual laboratory techniques; pipettes
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Experienced in following test procedures
  • Experience in using LIMS
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • GMP experience
