About the opportunity
A great opportunity has become available for a Stock Controller/Compounding Assistant to join our clients team based in SA.

Duties
  • Order raw materials and consumables from warehouses, ensuring timely communication with supply planners about low stock levels and maintaining appropriate safety stock to avoid production impact.
  • Perform receipting checks of all incoming inventory, resolving discrepancies promptly through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor short-dated stock, flag for early review, and explore opportunities to minimise discard risk.
  • Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes as required, thoroughly investigating and analysing discrepancies beyond set variances to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain stock accuracy in production and ERP systems, investigating variances and making necessary adjustments to align physical and system records.
  • Liaise with the central inventory team to resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies and support daily inventory management activities, including urgent stock transfers.
  • Efficiently manage warehouse space to support easy storage and picking, while maintaining tidiness and shelf labelling.
  • Perform picking, labelling, inspection, sealing, packing, and dispatch of compounded and finished products, while maintaining consumables and clean work areas.

Skills and Experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a team to reach shared objectives in a high-paced setting.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role, such as Warehouse Stock Control or Warehouse Assistant, is required.
  • Shows strong leadership capabilities and initiative.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Committed to following procedures with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Competent in basic Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and fundamental math skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to consistently lift weights of 15–20kg.
